《海滨帝国》再现了美国禁酒令时期（1920-1933年）大西洋城这个海滨小城阴暗面的生存状况。《海滨帝国》的编剧是《黑道家族》的编剧特伦斯·温特，该剧根据作家Nelson Johnson的原著《海滨帝国：大西洋城的诞生，鼎盛以及堕落》(Boardwalk Empire:The Birth, High Times and Corruption of Atlantic City)改编。。小混混必制（林昌正 饰）手上有一个房产开发的任务，他要让村子里的人全部搬走。第二天他再来到村子的时候，就碰到了女孩明兰（河智苑 饰）及一大群村民，决心保卫家园的人们，使必制这次任务艰巨许多。 明兰本来就是个拳击手，她手脚灵活，喜欢用拳头说话。她梦想成为亚洲拳王，但她也需要照顾活动不便的父亲与年幼的弟弟。明兰的出现，让必制的任务不仅没有进展，而且变得更加复杂。村民们根本不惧怕必制，甚至会指使他做事。 到底必制的任务又能否顺利完成呢？他跟明兰之间又将有什么有趣的事情发生呢？。SYNOPSIS Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. (Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。
