1990年代，陕北某地。雨住的父亲生前是个兽医，临终前接生的一头驴崽叫“驴嘎”。父亲死后，雨住对它精心饲养，以寄托对父亲的思念。平日里跟小伙伴玩，宁肯让人骑自己也不让骑驴，久而久之，人们都叫雨住为驴嘎。一天，村里来了摄制组，演员小海特想骑毛驴，却不小心摔伤了脚。制片方为不影响拍摄进度，请形象差不多的雨住当小海替身，并付给他一份酬劳，雨住很是高兴，把这钱送给了生病的妈妈。根据剧情需要，戏中日本鬼子要杀掉小毛驴，导演看到雨住对毛驴的特殊感情，采用特技处理了这场戏。剧组要离村了，小海抱着雨住久久不想分开……。As the seasoned infantry and tank units of the German 11th Panzer "Ghost" division move silently into position on the snow covered hills around Nennig Germany ,a battle weary GI and his unit stand ready to defend the small town, a key position in the Allied advance to win the war.
