刚出狱的年轻人伯克回到故乡小镇后，镇民都认为他是杀人犯而不敢靠近。随后，他遇见了厌世的文学少女奥德莉，修车厂老板的女儿。在女儿的介绍下，修车厂老板收留了有着高超修车技巧的伯克当技师。慢慢地，伯克与奥德莉间的情愫渐起......。Photographer Greg Nolan meets Bernice, and loses both his job and his apartment. However, Bernice manages to get him a new apartment, but it is so expensive that he has to get two full-time jobs. Nolan has trouble finding time to do them both without his bosses finding out.。
