テレビ朝日初の本格シットコムとなる本作は、さびれた温泉旅館・虹の屋の玄関とロビー、従業員室、大浴場の入口、エレベーターという限られた空間で繰り広げられる群像劇。主人公は虹の屋の3代目である父親に反発し家を飛び出すも、うだつの上がらない日々を送っていた柿丘哲郎だ。劇中では哲郎が実家の窮地を救うため10年ぶりの帰宅を果たすも、虹の屋は100年の伝統を誇る老舗旅館の品格やサービスが完全に消え失せ、一筋縄ではいかない従業員の吹き溜まりと化していた。。莉塔已经好几个月没有交房租，因此被赶出了公寓。她和一岁大的儿子搬到一个新住所，主人是一位卧病在床的老妇人苏菲。苏菲的女儿雇佣了莉塔当护工，因此才能住下。为了保住她的工作和住所，莉塔尽心竭力地照顾着老人。。The series follows a group of six students about to embark on the most exciting period of their lives thus far University!
