影片讲述了一个电梯无故困人杀人的故事。纽约著名地标建筑----千年大厦的电梯突然失控，一名盲人和保安先后因此离奇毙命。这仅仅是突发事故吗？女记者詹妮弗对此展开调查，设法解开电梯神奇行为背后的秘密。然而，随着她调查的深入，因电梯而死亡的人数越来越多，调查也演变为一场意想不到的噩梦……。故事講述陳方行（黃又南飾）逝世後，其好友思冬（陳泂江飾）出來他的葬禮，只有十人的小葬禮舉行期間，坐在思冬旁邊的畢念夏（岑樂怡飾）發了短訊給陳方行，未幾，竟收到「已讀不回」的雙藍剔。另一方面，思冬因為被念夏深深吸引，借追查真相之名，約會對方，而念夏亦因為覺得思冬跟方行兩者很相似，所以對男方的邀請並不抗拒，二人決定以半約會半查案的方式見面，開始約見其他葬禮的出席者，不過查案期間，部份出席葬禮的人竟遭殺害……。Ted Freeman, a high-achieving seventh-grader, fears that any mistake could ruin his meticulously planned future.
