第一季中，濒临倒闭的酒楼老板娘马丽奥与婚恋网站的老板高天一拍即合准备将酒楼转型为以相亲为主的“饮食男女”特色主题餐厅，成为婚恋网站线下相亲、约会的指定活动场所，当然酒楼还要继续改进特色菜，吸引爱好美食的食客。这时，老板娘那身上满是小毛病的前夫马洋突然要求回来并复婚，老板娘一时心软答应他留下，但复婚万万不行。经双方秘密协议，马洋不得暴露与老板娘的关系，不得干涉酒楼经营，只能以厨师身份暂时收留，但其间马丽奥与高天情投意合，马洋也同时想着各式各样的办法挽回马丽奥的心。。Joe Bell is a penny-pinching hermit saving for the day when his real life will begin.
