外科医生张嘉儿（刘心悠饰）和Jessica、Amy是从小在孤儿院长大的好姐妹，走上社会后她们依然住在一起，亲密无间。某天，嘉儿接到律师的信，信中说她在马来西亚的嫲嫲（鲍起静饰）不久前离世，身后留给嘉儿一栋大宅作为遗产。小时候嘉儿在马来西亚住过，可是当她来到香港后却几乎忘记以前的事了。几经犹豫，嘉儿决定带着两个好友一同前往大马。在律师的安排下，三人来到了嫲嫲这栋古色古香的房子。 一切手续看起来十分顺利，可是诡异恐怖的事件接二连三地发生了。嫲嫲不在的房子里，似乎有什么东西四处游走，而嘉儿失落已久的记忆也渐渐恢复……。一部科幻喜剧电视剧。该剧主要讲述小外星人与妹子们的故事。。MOTHER TONGUE (母语) is a portrait of a Chinese American family in which the consequences of a mother’s decision to leave her young daughter in the care of a white American “homestay” family are slowly unearthed over the course of a family dinner.
