美好的周末假期，野原新之助和爸爸广志一起去看机器人的科幻电影，走出电影后的父子俩兴奋地大玩合体游戏，谁知广志却不慎扭伤了腰。忍受不了老婆的碎碎念，广志去医院看病，可是周末医院休诊，父子俩只得来到公园休息，结果还被妈妈团赶了出去。当父子俩走在回家路上的时候，色色的广志被一家按摩店的美女招待员所吸引，于是把小新打发回家，自己则跟着对方进入店里。从昏迷中醒来的广志以飞快的速度回家，结果吓到了全家人，原来他被美容院改装成机器人。最初的震惊恐惧之后，野原家渐渐习惯了这个家务全能的新爸爸。 然而随着城市中机器爸爸越来越多，潜在的危机则悄然浮出水面……。故事讲述私家侦探哈柏应聘至纽奥尔良一大地主家庭调查一封告密信，由于牵涉入大地主与石油大王之间的斗争中，几乎因而丧命。该片拍来有点造作，但节奏仍算流畅爽朗，其中哈柏与石油大王之妻被关在水室而几乎没顶的高潮戏拍得相当紧凑刺激。。For much of the last half century, Cyprus-born theater operator Nick Nicolaou has lived and breathed the world of New York City cinema.
