The film describes the events leading up to, and including, the massacre of the adults of a small town in Nebraska by their children, after the adults' irresponsibility ruins the crop and the children's future.。赛森指挥官奉命追捕一队终止太空任务而返回地球的太空人，却发现另有隐情，这群太空人心性丧失、力大无穷。他在疑心之下查出这实为太空总署的阴谋。太空总署为了诱捕外星异形，未料太空人并未返回总署，反而另谋毁灭地球。
