故事发生在上世纪30年代。华泰绸庄主人徐辰风(黄文豪饰)是个正直的商人，然而因为父母早逝，继承庞大的家业，由于过于年轻气盛，不留余地，曾因发现帐册出错，就将用了几十年的李掌柜断然开除。辰风之妻周慧君(马雅舒饰)染上重病，辰风在慧君坚持下，将乡下女孩沈桂花(杜葳饰)娶进门替慧君冲喜。李掌柜后来受气染病致死，一家陷入困境，女儿李纯儿落入风尘……。Based in 1934 in Duluth, Minn., during the Great Depression, “Girl From the North Country” centers on a group of wayward travelers as their lives intersect in a guesthouse.
