群山环绕的张家大滩，坐落于兰州市郊。村民们朴实、善良，在张村长的带领下，世代以种葱、种瓜为生。张磊是张家大滩走出的第一个大学生，毕业于西北师范大学。毕业后，他毅然放弃了留在城市的机会，决定回到生他养他的故乡。。A young girl lives with her mother in an isolated mountain cabin. Mother dies, the girl also has a child. No father is present. A friendship is formed with another woman but things start to become twisted. Paranoia and delusions follow。Documentary which take as subject the Oberhausen Group and New German Cinema, and some of those who followed in their footsteps. It contains a glimpse of a very young Werner Herzog, here predicting the rise of home video long before the technology entered the mainstream.
