公元一八七四年，同治帝驾崩，慈禧（欧阳珮珊）为了能继续垂帘听政，毅然册立醇亲王刚满四岁之子为帝，是为德宗光绪帝（汤镇业）。成年后的光绪欲励精图治却无法拥有实权，甲午战败之后虽有意起用民间有识之士康有为等实施变法，却被慈禧残酷镇压，光绪求助袁世凯反被出卖，被软禁瀛台，其爱妃珍妃（戚美珍）亦被打入冷宫。此时八国联军攻入京城，慈禧决定弃城而逃，光绪宁死不逃，珍妃跳井身亡！及至此时，慈禧病重，为防止光绪重掌政权，决定处死光绪，立宣统傅仪为帝。三岁即位的傅仪在当皇帝的游戏中长大。此时清朝大势已去，但傅仪（严秋华）却一心想复辟，设计逃离紫禁城，事败！不久北洋军阀混乱，直系吴佩孚手下冯玉祥突然倒戈相向，直抵紫禁城，逼傅仪离开，至此，中国四千多年的封建帝制宣告结束。。Five friends break into a closed corn maze in the middle of the night and decide to play a harmless game of tag.
